Map styles, camera and export settings
What each export setting does. The preview shows the final frame and refreshes a few seconds after a change.
SettingWhat it does
- Map style
- Liberty: a standard map with clear road colors. Positron: light grey that makes the route stand out. Aerial: GSI aerial photos (Japan only, available in the Japanese UI; the video carries a "出典: 国土地理院" credit)
- Camera
- Overview: the whole route stays in frame while the line grows. Follow: zooms in on the head of the route, then pulls back to show it all
- Duration
- The line grows to fit this length regardless of how long the drive took
- Zoom
- Wide ↔ close. Depth of the close-up in Follow; amount of margin in Overview
- Resolution
- 720p / 1080p / 4K at 30 fps. 4K takes noticeably longer
- Watermark
- Always on while free; after purchase you can turn it on or off
About the map: Liberty and Positron render OpenFreeMap vector tiles (OpenStreetMap data) on your device. The first export in a new area is slower while tiles download; later exports are faster. Map credits are placed at the bottom right of the video.
